ÂÌñÉçÇø offers a number of camps annually

Go Global Canada

The Go Global Canada program is designed to allow international schools to send a minimum of 15 students to our campus to learn and be immersed in an English program. It includes, two, three, four or more weeks of ESL programming.

Having been ranked a top premier undergraduate university in Canada more than 20 times, the ÂÌñÉçÇø campus provides ideal academic settings for students to immerse themselves in the English language and to thrive in the student-centered Canadian learning environment.

We create amazing indoor and outdoor learning environments for high school students who are studying outside Canada. Our programs are carefully designed, supervised, safe, challenging, and innovative.

Students also have the opportunity to go beyond the campus, as our classroom travels and stretches to everywhere that the students visit — lakes, parks, forests, beaches, concerts, and the many other places shown on our program itineraries. We like to stimulate the imagination and creativity of our students, and we know the inspiration will last a lifetime!

Summer Academy of Music

The Department of Music offers an annual week-long intensive program for dedicated pianists, singers, guitarists, composers, and string, woodwind, brass, and percussion instrumentalists, ages 14 to 19 each July.

Participants will receive private lessons and master classes with ÂÌñÉçÇø Faculty members as well as coachings in chamber music or art song.

The following information applies to all overnight camps of a week or more.

Q: If I come to camp with a friend, can I stay with them?

We'll do our best! If you would like to be in a same room with a friend, please mark it down on your application and we will take note of your request when putting together the rooms. We try our best to accommodate campers but please limit your requests to one friend.

Q: Do I get any free time?

Yes, there is free time throughout the day, usually before and after meals. There's also rest hour after lunch.

Q: Is the food good?

The food at camp is awesome! There's always something for everyone so make room for seconds!

Q: Can special dietary needs be accommodated?

Absolutely. Please indicate any dietary needs in your online registration form and we will work with our food services provider to make necessary arrangements.

Q: How do I pay for the camp?

You can pay online when you register for your camp by credit card or debit, you can pay by cheque/credit/debit card when you drop off your child (cheques can be made payable to ÂÌñÉçÇø. Also, they can be mailed to 155 Main St., Sackville, NB  E4L 1B5). You can also make payment with credit card by phoning (506) 364-2253. Your spot will be officially reserved once we receive your payment.

Q: What is the cancellation policy?

In the event that you need to withdraw prior to the start of camp, the fees will be returned provided the request is received in writing a week before the camp start date. No refund will be available if you cancel after the start date.

Q: What is MtA’s policy on drugs and alcohol?

Drug and alcohol use will not be tolerated during summer programs. In the event that a student is found in possession of drugs or alcohol they will be sent home at their own expense.

Q: Will students be supervised in residence?

Yes. Participants staying in the residence will be supervised at all times.

Q: How do I get to Sackville?

The closest airport is in Moncton, which is approximately 50 km away. A cab from the Moncton airport to Sackville is approximately $80 one-way. If you arrive by bus or Via Rail (train) a cab ride from either station in Sackville to the MtA campus is approximately $6.

Q: Can we make phone calls home?

Students will have access to a pay phone to make phone calls home. It is suggested that all participants bring a calling card. In case of an emergency, parents can reach their student by contacting the camp office during regular office time at (506) 364-2253.

What to bring

Each participant will receive a summer program t-shirt to be worn for the duration of the program. In addition, please bring the following recommended items:

  • prescribed medicine
  • wristwatch
  • alarm clock
  • rain coat
  • backpack
  • sunscreen
  • insect repellent
  • toothbrush and toothpaste
  • soap and shampoo
  • towel and facecloth
  • enough clothes for 5 days (long and short pants, long and short sleeves, socks, jacket, sweater/fleece)
  • nice set of clothes for banquet and for your presentations
  • running shoes
  • photos of family
  • extra blanket
  • hair dryer
  • slippers
  • hair ties, comb
  • a plastic shower basket for carrying your supplies to and from the shower
  • flip flops for the shower
  • sandals, sneakers, and dress shoes
  • bathing suit and extra towel if you intend to swim
  • bathing cap (required for swimming in the pool)
  • gym clothes — you will have access to all fitness facilities
  • gym shoes — absolutely no outdoor footwear allowed in the gymnasium
  • power adapter so you can use your cords in Canada
  • water bottle
